Digital Paintings

I price by the hour, which means more complex pieces will cost more. I estimate time needed and charge up front. My current rates are $40/hour.

Example: The image on the left would be $80. A fully rendered (Rembrandt style) painting would be $800. Generally speaking I can work with your budget, but as time increases, so will cost, so please keep that in mind.

Watercolor paintings

These are also priced by the hour, but they take longer and are generally more expensive. The painting on the right would cost $240 to commission.

Watercolor paintings are physical objects that can be owned. The physical painting is usually slightly different from the final piece (depending on what you need it for, I usually do some editing in Photoshop to create the final image). Originals add $100 to the cost, plus shipping.

FAQ

Who owns the rights?

I do, unless you pay for them. We can talk about that through email. I use a standard contract that I require most commissioners to sign. But if this is for a commercial project, you should talk to my agent first. Her contact info is on my About page.

Can I use my commission for my phone background? Or print it out and put it on my wall?

Yes! While I retain commercial rights, you will have personal use rights. That means you can print out as many as you like, as long as you don’t sell them, use them to promote your business, or claim you created the image. (This is true for ko-fi and patreon supporters as well.)

May I get your art tattooed?

Yes, but please tip me at least half of the amount you pay the tattoo artist. This applies to all my art, not just commissions.

I want a commission, but I can’t afford these prices!

I sometimes take $5 commissions through ko-fi (usually when I’m having a financial emergency and need cash fast). Please don’t request this, though! It hurts my feelings! This is my job and as much as I would love to give out all my art for free, it’s not viable at this time.
